| Antiopathy, describes the treatment of a symptom with something which neutralises it. This is the basis of medicine today. Examples include pain killers to suppress pain, cortisone to suppress inflammation, binding agents to counteract diarrhoea and antibiotics to destroy bacteria.
This Law of Dis-Similars is uncritically accepted as it relieves symptoms immediately. But, antiopathy works against the body’s own considerable natural healing powers.
The word comes from the Greek word anti (opposite or against). |
