Homoeoprophylaxis
There are other options to orthodox vaccination. Homoeopathic treatment is very effective, so you can simply treat the condition as it arises, if your pet is generally healthy. However, many people feel under pressure to take some precautionary measure. So the other approach is homoeopathic immunisation (homoeoprophylaxis or HP).
Whilst no method is 100% effective, homoeoprophylaxis remedies give an average efficacy of 88.8%, well within those claimed by conventional vaccines (75 - 95%). The remedies are oral, have no side effects and are totally safe.
Occasionally, an animal will react to a remedy. These reactions are NOT toxic reactions, but represent a clearing effect. Typically they are mild and short lasting.
Canine Diseases
The most common diseases in dogs which are routinely vaccinated against are Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis and Parvovirus. This vaccine is called C3. Other specific diseases are Kennel Cough and tetanus.
Feline Diseases
The most common diseases in cats which are routinely vaccinated against are Feline Influenza (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis), Feline Enteritis and Feline Leukaemia. The vaccine is called the F3. Other specific diseasesare Feline Infectious Peritonitis, Feline Calici virus, Feline Aids and tetanus.
Immunising The Natural Way
Homeoprophylaxis works by stimulating the immune system. This is the opposite effect of vaccination, which suppresses it. HP is taken in the same way that any homeopathic remedy is taken - orally. This is the exact same way that natural immunity occurs. Programmes vary according the the creator of them, but generally a remedy is given about weekly for a few months. You can also boost the preventative treatment during an epidemic.
Other Specific Problems
Homoeopathic Heartworm protection is available.
Vaccinosis, the side effects of vaccines, can be effectively dealt with under homoeopathic treatment, but is likely to recur after booster vaccinations.
