Is Bottled Water Safe?

Fred had told his colleagues of his successful homeopathic treatment of his carpal tunnel. At first, his colleagues mocked him, telling him he hadn’t really had carpal tunnel in the first place, it just naturally cured itself, he just got lucky and so on.

Not being a demonstrative sort of guy, he didn’t argue with any of these comments. But he found them quite interesting. Why was there so much reluctance to accept his word for this? He was well known for his reliability and honesty.

He concluded that as this was outside their understanding, they couldn’t accept it. And being honest, he realised that was exactly how he had been with his wife Shirley’s successes.

He concluded that you had to experience it to believe it.

But before you can experience it, you need to be open minded enough to try it. And of course, many people aren’t.

One day, one of Fred’s colleagues, Samantha approached him, when everyone else was at lunch. She asked about what he had done and where to get more information. Fred knew Shirley was receiving regular e-mails on home prescribing, so promised to get the details for her.

The next day, after passing on the details, Fred asked Samantha if he could help. His recent success had gone to his head and he wanted more!

Anticipating, he’d bought in the kit’s instructions.

She said her young son was having difficulty teething. She told him he seemed to be a late developer, with ‘late milestones’ as it was explained to her. She was particularly concerned about the pain he was having, but didn’t want to resort to drugs or pain killers.

Fred looked in the instructions, but couldn’t find anything under ‘children’. Then he saw ‘teething problems’. There were six remedies listed. This might take some time. Good job it was a quiet day.

He might as well start at the first one and progress from there, he thought. He asked Samantha if her son had any other symptoms. She thought for a moment then, rather embarrassed, she said he usually smelt a bit sour. However often he was bathed, he had that odd smell about him.

And he was a terrible eater. He was happy to eat eggs, but little else. ‘He can’t live on eggs’, she said to Fred.

Feeling totally at a loss (what am I meant to do with these symptoms he thought to himself?), but not wanting to admit defeat to Samantha, he read through the short details of the first four remedies.

Nothing remotely similar, he thought.

Then he started to read the fifth remedy symptoms, Calc carb. It said ‘slow, difficult teething’, ‘sweaty especially on head’, ‘constipated’, ‘fearful’, ‘sour smelling’.

Delighted he asked Samantha if her son was constipated.

“Yes, he is.” she said. “He goes about once a week, but doesn’t seem to be bothered by it. I put it down to his bad diet.”

“Is he frightened of anything?” he asked.

“Yes, he’s terrified of animals he sees on the television. We have to be really careful what he sees, as it gives him nightmares.”

Fred suggested Samantha try some Calc carb on her son. She promised to get some after work, at the local health shop.

It was over a week before Fred saw Samantha long enough to talk to her. Work had been crazy and they didn’t always work together.

Coffee in hand, she walked up to him.

“D’you know Fred, if it hadn’t happened to me, I wouldn’t have believed it.” she said. “I gave him a dose of the remedy that same night. He slept soundly that night and has every night since. Something unheard of. He’s now eating anything and everything I offer him. He doesn’t smell anymore. AND his teeth have come through without any fuss. And all from three doses in total. I’m dumbfounded!”

Fred allowed himself to feel rather smug for a few moments.

Do Your Gums Bleed?

A lack of vitamin C, scurvy, is known to cause

  • bleeding gums
  • nose bleeds
  • bleeding under the skin

That made me sit up and take notice. My gums have always bled, with or without flossing. So I tried an experiment on myself. I bought an acerola cherry vitamin C supplement and took one teaspoon every day. It took about two weeks, but my gums stopped bleeding. And they started to look so much more healthy, pink and plump.

Then I read of someone who had done the same thing.

I suggested a patient also take it for her bleeding gums. They cleared up, but returned when she stopped.

With the dietary focus on protein, most people don’t get enough vitamin C. Even those who do eat a lot of fresh (and raw) fruit and veg, most of it is shop bought. Vitamin C deteriorates quickly in storage.

Unlike most fruit and veg, acerola cherry is very dense in vitamin C and can stand periods of storage.

Note - acerola cherry is a natural, wholefood source of vitamin C. You can’t overdose on it and it won’t harm any organs, unlike the synthetic version widely available.

Blockbuster Primate Study Shows Significant Harm from One Birth Dose of a Mercury-Containing Vaccine

A research team led by scientists from the University of Pittsburgh and Thoughtful House reported today that exposure to a birth dose of a hepatitis B vaccine that included an ethyl mercury preservative caused significant delays in the development of several survival reflexes in male rhesus macaque monkeys. The findings were published on line today in the journal Neurotoxicology.

(Editor’s note.
Homoeopaths have known about this for over a century. Why do animals have to continue to suffer to provide yet more evidence?)

Is Bottled Water The Best Way to Go?

Most of us now know that tap water is not healthy. Apart from the added chlorine, it has varying amounts of agricultural pesticides and fertilisers, pharmaceutical drugs and factory waste, depending on where you live. Yet by buying bottled water, you not only ingest the BPA from the plastic bottle, but also create a huge problem with their disposal.

A healthier, cheaper, greener option is to purchase a water filter and a glass or stainless steel bottle. Filter your own rain water (if needed) or tap water. Then take your own water in a safe bottle, with you when you’re out.
