The Secret Behind Urinary Tract Symptoms

Are You Getting Enough Iron?
Prostate Screening Can Lead to Unnecessary Treatment
I hope by now, for those of you who are new to homeopathy, that you’re getting the hang of just how awesome it is. It works at such a deep level, yet is so gentle. And it so individuals you. You are never just a number.
Today I want to talk about another urinary tract remedy. Obviously this remedy has far more uses, as do practically all remedies. But in these ezines, we’re focussing on the limitations of home prescribing, so you can treat yourself or family members successfully, without knowing very much.
Although I can’t help myself from adding some really juicy symptoms...
As with most home prescribing remedies, this is made from a plant and in this case, one which most gardeners know well. It’s delphinium. Some call it stavesacre. Homeopaths call it Staphysagria. It’s a member of the ranunculaceae family. Other members include Aconite and Pulsatilla.
Although all plants are sensitive, at least compared with minerals, the ranunculaceae family are particularly so. So the family traits are sensitivity and also can be quite irritable. Sensitivity to shock is easily seen in Aconite and an overall sensitivity with irritability is easily seen in Pulsatilla, for those of you who are old hands.
The sensitivity that Staphysagria (Staph for short) exhibits is to suppression. We’ve talked about this before. But it bears repeating.
The world as we know it is all about control and power. Those in power, want to control the masses. And this is done mostly by intimidation, fear and suppression. The suppression I’m talking about is the inability you have to be yourself. Your parents, your culture, your religion, your country all attempt to control you by suppressing your natural abilities, creations and instincts.
And doctors and vets talk openly about suppressing symptoms, and not just physical symptoms. This is never in your long term interest.
Although everyone is affected by these suppressions to a lesser or greater degree, those needing Staph are most affected. And it comes out in an odd way. You become so sweet that you don’t even feel anger. You’ve pushed it so deep, your conscious memories are long gone.
But your body still remembers.
And the symptoms that come out are typically urogenital disorders. Symptoms such as cystitis (inflammation of the bladder), urethritis, a frequent urge to urinate, bed wetting, protastitis, retained urine, orchitis and many more.
The most important symptoms that it can resolve are:
- cystitis, especially at the start of sexual activity in women, with ineffectual urge to urinate
- cystocele (herniation of the urinary bladder into the vagina)
- prostatic troubles with frequent urination, but burning in urethra when not urinating
- urging and pain after urinating
- bed wetting in children
Generally your sexual appetite is high.
Apart from the pelvic disorders, Staph is very effective in helping to resolve abuse. Abuse is very intense suppression. Abuse can come in any form, be it emotional, verbal or physical. As Staph is so focussed on the pelvic area, I hope it comes as no surprise to you that it can be magical in helping rape victims move on in life.
Not all Staph people are sweet with no anger. There are some with very suppressed anger, which will erupt occasionally and with great violence. And then look out, as anything and everything to hand is likely to be hurled around or smashed.
When anger is so out of control, it’s because it doesn’t have a natural outlet. Most of us let off steam periodically, thus keeping the pressure at a manageable level. Those needing Staph can’t do that, so the pressure builds up until it explodes.
But after the explosion, colic or a very painful stomach disorder may set in.
Staph is also very effective at resolving ailments that started after having a catheter. Catheters invade. This can result in shame, guilt or anger. Staphysagria.
Skin eruptions, particularly psoriasis, can result as a way of the body letting off steam.
When animals are sterilised, they don’t have an option. This can build up as unreleased anger, which is often expressed as a skin irritation. All animals need to be dosed with Staph after sterilisation. I give it as routinely as I give Arnica for injury.
It was George MacLeod, the well known English vet turned homoeopath who taught me that one. I admit it took me a while to digest the information, which says a lot about where I was at the time...
Domestic animals rarely have a choice in their mates, either. Brood mares are routinely raped in many horse breeding establishments. Staph would help them enormously.
As Staph is one of the most sensitive remedies, you may be sensitrive to bites of insects, when everyone else seems to be immune. Insects such as mozzies, sand flies, etc.
Obviously being abused means self confidence is at rock bottom. I have seen confidence return with a vengeance, after Staph.
And yet another use for this remarkable remedy is for any wound that has been cut, such as an episiotemy. This can create a feeling of having been violated, that boundaries have been broken.
This remedy is not in all kits, but is usually in the basic 36 remedy kits.
This is a hugely important remedy, focusing on the pelvic region, the skin and suppressed anger.
Probably most of us need this remedy at some time in our lives.

Are You Getting Enough Iron?
Anaemia means much more about your inability to assimilate the iron in your food than it is about its lack. And addressing that with appropriate homeopathic remedies is going to do you a lot more good than getting iron tablets, or worse iron injections from your GP. But there is always a possibilty your diet is deficient.
So first, I want to talk about iron supplements. As with most supplements on the market, iron supplements are isolated and synthetic. Your body was not designed to assimilate minerals in isolation, and certainly can struggle to know what to do with synthetic minerals.
Because food is complex and all nutrients interdepend on each other, when the iron supplement is taken, your body has to rob the other nutrients needed to utilise it. This means that you will experience a deficiency in other nutrients. In particular copper. Copper and iron see-saw. Too much iron means a copper deficency. And vice versa.
So if you think you are deficient in iron, it’s better to take a super food which has all the essential nutrients needed in natural balance, than it is to take an isolated and synthetic supplement. The one I like best, and take regualrly is Crystal Sweet Algae. It doesn’t have the strong taste of most algaes, it is more dense than most algae, so less is needed, and most importantly it comes from a pristine, unpolluted, naturally fed lake.

Prostate Screening Can Lead to Unnecessary Treatment and Risks 95% of the Time
Two large studies published recently in the New England Journal of Medicine found that the PSA blood test used to screen for prostate cancer saves few lives and can lead to risky and unnecessary treatments for 95% of the men who are screened.

My personal opinion is that a lot of the medical tests are nothing more than (unreliable) snap shots of a small part of you at that moment. They shouldn’t necessarily be given the attention they get. Some are helpful, some aren’t. You decide.
You are changing all the time, so even the most reliable tests will have varying results, too.
