FAQ
Here are my answers to some common questions. Please feel free to ask me any further questions you may have.
1. How much will my treatment cost?
This can be difficult to gauge as everyone is different. Every condition is also different. The following is a rough estimate.
Acutes conditions - these are conditions such as colds, coughs, flus, injuries and so on that often go on their own eventually but are tough at the time. The symptoms can be quite severe. One consultation may be all that is required, but two or three spaced out over a short time span may be needed for a complete resolution.
Chronic conditions - these are those conditions that worsen with time, such as arthritis, cardiac conditions, period pain, etc. The first follow up consultation needs to be between one to four weeks after the initial consultation. If we are both happy with how things are working out, then plan for about four to six consultations in the first year, reducing this as you imprrove.
2. How long will my treatment take?
This depends on the condition. Please see question 1.
3. Can you help me/ is homoeopathy good for (your condition)?
Homoeopathy is unlike medicine in countless ways. First of all, it doesn't treat your disease. Instead it treats you. This means that all conditions are treatable, because it stems from an internal imbalance. So instead of managing your sickness, homoeopathy improves your health. The difference is enormous, but maybe a little hard to grasp initially.
4. Is there research in the area of my problem?
5. Have you treated (your condition) before?
Homoeopaths are perhapos unique in that we have a very broad scope of practise. We don't come from a place of looking at ever smaller pathogens. Instead, we come from a place of looking at the whole picture. Most homoeopaths will reply to this question with "I hope not". This is in no way disrespectful of you, rather that we don't focus on the condition, but on you, the patient.
This is a difficult question to answer. Although every condition can be resolved, there are always caveats. These include areas such as how long you have had the problem, what your previous and current treatment is, how far advanced it is and so on. Because health is complicated, no-one can ever make any guarantees. However, I firmly believe that you have a much greater chance of improvement under good homoepathic treatment than almost any other discipline of health care. Results, as always, will depend on you.
