Processed Food

Processed Food Versus Original Food

Whilst there are times when processed food has its place, such as when you’re too tired or when there isn’t time to prepare a meal, make sure you keep it just for those times, and not as a regular food source. The same applies to fast food. Junk food can be very harmful. Limit it to when you have to have it. Have a routine of healthy food, falling back on the fast food only occasionally.

Processed food is usually rich in artificial preservatives, colour, flavour, etc or added salt or sugar. Always check the contents label and only buy that without additives.

Original food include all vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, herbs, and game. Farmed animals are usually treated with hormones and antibiotics and their pastures treated with super phosphate, herbicides and pesticides. Free range chicken may not be free from chemical residue unless it is also organic. Organic or bio-dynamically reared animals are free from all chemical treatment so meat from them can be classed as game. Organically produced food has much higher nutritional levels than non-organic.
